Re: muskie story

Duke I've read a bunch of muskie articles over the years, and even had a few out there myself (incoherent babbling pretty much). This was one of the best I've ever read, thank you!

Re: ADADO Riverfront Park Fishing Rodeo

Thanks everyone for taking the time, especially you Nick for that long drive too. It was pretty slow attendance-wise but I enjoyed talking to fellow MMA faithful all day especially. Always good to know I'm not alone in my Esocid mental illness.

Re: ADADO Riverfront Park Fishing Rodeo

Nick Day and I will be at this Saturday, if anyone else would like to volunteer please send a PM. We'll have our booth and also likely help with fish measuring in the tournament. Should be a fun day with kids learning about fishing and fisheries conservation, including our efforts with muskies. Ther...

Re: Banquet Thank-You

Thanks to all who made that happen and agreed, the presentation seemed to have all of us listening more closely than ever, some real eye-opening info. I wish I didn't have to leave early. A custom Medusa in in particular, the one in mostly black with a gold middle section, was screaming at me to ste...

Looks like it's going to be a great swap! I was thinking about going to D & R Sports that day for a spearing seminar by Pikekilla. But I decided on the lure swap instead.

That really was a fantastic banquet, the food, venue, how it was run, it looked to be doing very well on the fundraising, good new ideas worked in too (e.g. the games that helped raised funds but also were a good time and didn't take too long at all), it was just an overall great event. Thanks very ...

Duke, thanks the for report and yes we could all probably use longer casting leaders but with that type of anomoly, it sounds like the monster would've inhaled a much longer leader anyway. Guys like you and the rest in this club are so good to these fish, not just with how we handle them but in all ...

Au Train really has good growth, above state norms I'm pretty sure, lots of forage as mentioned, but literally almost all fish are killed when they approach 24". So a slot is effectively no limit at all, almost all fish are gone before they reach the mid-20 inch range with that much slaughter. No di...

As far as the biological concerns with the slot, the big drawback namely on smaller pressured waters with limited spawning is enough fish reaching the protection of the slot for it to matter. I agree not many bother with really small fish to eat, but even if they comply with the slot, lots or even n...

Proposed Pike Reg Changes

Saw the muskie reg thread where someone asked about the pike position. We're a muskie group that I agree wouldn't need to take a position on pike. But it'd be greatly appreciated if my Esox brothers and sisters replied to the survey in support of better pike management too. My opinion is the no MSL ...
