If a boat registration was in someone else's name but expires next year, can I use it under that registration?


I've hear people mention this before and didn't think that you could. For example when selling a boat the seller may say-"tags are good for 2 more years", or something similar to that.

Im pretty sure when you register the boat in your name the registration starts over.
