It has spent too much time in the boat and under the cover and has rusted some, sticking too. Used it anyway on a treble in a pike last night. It was tough to operate. What's the best to soak it in to get it back to working condition?? Thank you.

My first choice would be something like WD-40, soaking it good, and then putting the cutters in a ziplock baggie for a while. The ziplock will keep the volatile oils in WD-40 from evaporating too quickly, and help dissolve the rust faster.
When you get it unstuck, try a thin coat of silicone reel oil to help keep it from rusting again.

ya there should be some simple rust remover stuff at any hardware store.. Works good for cleaning any tools that rust. Not sure of any product name, but have used diff types of stuff like that before and it has worked well.

Thanks for the quick comebacks gentlemen. I DID hit it with PB Blaster as soon as I got home. It IS in an open container now, but i do have a larger ziplock bag I could try. Thanks again.
