Hey Everyone,
Just wondering of the Hunters that went to Murray, did any one land the big one. Myself and BearClaw had about 8 or 9 follows but they wouldn't take the bait.
Just Wondering??????

In our boat, Jim tenHaaf had about ten follows, Fred Becchetti caught a 30" muskie and I caught a 30" pike. It was a very tough bite out there yesterday!

Gary and I both enjoyed ourselves for the first time for both of us on the lake. We got a 31' and a slighty larger pike. The clear water and cisco baitfish got me excited. I'll certainly fish it again.

Does anyone have any pics of fish that were caught? I have gotten a few fish over the last few years, but will be out there this spring looking for a nice sized tiger.

I don't believe there are any tigers left; they're all true muskies in Murray nowdays. And only a couple(?) small-ish fish were caught that day of the outing.
Best knowledge has the largest ones in Murray being in the high 40"s now, approaching 50".
If/when you become a MMA member, there are forum sections with pics and fishing reports that you'll have access to.
Here's a couple nice fish Bill and Joel vandeKopple caught there last April:

Sorry, no tigers. I haven't seen a tiger there in many years. Stocking of tigers in Michigan stopped in 91. The average lifespan of a tiger is 7 years with "freak" fish living for 12 years. Finding a tiger in Michigan is limited to where they happen naturally, primarily in the UP but there are rare tigers in St Clair.

I thought that there might be a few left, I grandpa got one a couple years back right off the end of our dock. But I will be there this spring and see if I can follow up last springs fun.
Were you guys trolling for these fish?

The fish in the pics were caught casting, I believe. Many do troll, though, and catch fish.

There are a few pics of the outing in the Figure 8 (MMA newsletter).

I'll be there the Monday after the opener(4/27). I fish primarily natural color baits because I like to match the hatch. I'll probably fish the top of the horseshoe and the west arm mostly but I'll hit the whole lake.
