Wow! How cool is that! I hope it's cheese.

Can someone remind me about Ovid?? Is it a no wake or no gas motor? Are we allowed to troll with the big gas guzzlers?

Lake Ovid is a no wake lake. Many years ago it was an electric motor only lake.

The more the merrier. Team Scrapbomb is going to have to buy lots of cow and piggy for the grill.

Ok, it's official... I will be there with Iceman (no not Chuck Liddell).

We probably won't be able to stay for lunch though.

We met three guys launching at the Ovid ramp yesterday who said they'd just started muskie fishing. We told them about MMA (they'd never heard of it), and invited them to the Outing next weekend.

We would have talked to them longer, but we had to launch and get out on the lake for our Match...

It looks like my sons are going to a birthday party so it will be just me for this event. Does anyone know how serious they are about opening the gates at 8 a.m.? I would like to be on the water at first light if possible and if anyone knows if we can get on the water earlier than 8 a.m. please advise.

The lake is usually open 24/7. If the main gate is closed, go back west on Price Road to Shepardsville Road (the first intersection) and then north to the night entrance on the West side, which should be open.

The night fishing access isn't open until after Jubne 10th. The main gate will be open. We arrived at 5:45 last weekend and no problems.
