Bomba,
Please tell me you did not find that out last year in North Webster during the two days that you and Dan spent together at the Lodge. You both had a ton to drink that night!!!!????? That’s the great thing about Muskie fishing, everyone is accepted: Men, Women, Children, You and your partner Backdoordan!LOL

Well, I have heard a sneak preview of the upcoming mindcrime 2.And
lets just say its no mindcrime 1.Not even close really.I didnt think it
would be as good, kinda like movie sequils.Im sure Ill warm up to it
after I hear it a few times.
But for now, nothing can compare to the original mindcrime.

That's a bummer, but to be expected I suppose. After reading this thread last week I put in the ole mindcrime disc for kicks. What a dandy. In the words of Geoff Tate it takes me "...back to a time when I was younger..."
Has been inserted back into the CD changer for a spell. Currently spinning alongside Distrubed, Tool, Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park, Pantera, Megadeth, 7 Mary 3, Kill 'em All, Mudvayne, John Denver and the Dixie Chicks (gotta have something for the wife.)

hendrix....... Ok Ok...
Here is the thing with Hendrix, he was revolutionary, ahead of his time, that era's Eddie Van Halen, I give him a lot of credit for introducing things, changing the sound of guitar and bringing different elements to music...like lots of drugs..lol
As far as his playing, he was really sloppy live, missed a lot of notes, out of key here and there, and yes i know that's what made up his music and his sound, but if your throwing him up there as a great guitarist or because he was the first "outrageous" black guitarist, well you are wrong Gabe...
There is a guy who was before Jimi Hendrix that didnt use all that distortion or any tools, fuzz boxes or tricks, he flat out whailed on the guitar from when we was in his teens to now..... CHUCk BERRY
i got a video of him playing live in like 58'.... wow..fast, clean, brilliant.

Kid,
I saw Y&T at Val-Du-Lakes in the late eighties. I actually had worked there for awhile (long story) Front row center and hung out backstage. It was White Lion, Y&T, and Ace Frehely w/ Frehelys Comet. Pretty cool show.

very cool.Y&T always seemed to give alot and get a little.Never reached
the household name status, but I think they deserved it.
