I'm going on a 4 day family vacation to Trout Lake on the 27th. I'd like to fish a muskie lake if there are any in the area. The only one I know of is South Manistique Lake. Does anyone know if there are any others nearby? Is Brevort Lake any good?
Thanks!
p.s., I just got my first muskie-follow to the boat last Saturday and now I'm stoked to actually catch one!!

I second Tahquamenon, try the Dollarville flooding.

Thanks! I'll try the Dollarville flooding. I see there's a boat launch near the dam and another about a mile upstream. We're also going to the falls so I'll bring my rod along for some shore casting if I get a chance.

You can even rent a rowboat at the lower falls to fish the good-sized pool there, always some nice sized fish hanging out in there. Fishing the upper falls from shore requires a slightly adventurous climb down and back up, but is fun and always some fish there too.
