Revo SX reel

Would this reel be adequate for handling muskie and muskie baits?

If you're talking about the bass reel, yes. They handle the smaller stuff fine. Matt and I each have one that is used for small twitch baits and such. Going into their 6th season with no issues. We have ours spooled with 50lb spider wire . And, for first timers, they are a very simple reel to learn how to use a bait caster.
