Hey Tom, welcome back and let's get after those biotches this year! I have a few Swim Whiz baits in with the Believers, they seem about the same in action to me but I'm not sure. One thing I like is the Swim Whiz baits I have, including one new one from the new manufacturer, actually had their paint...

I have liked the Saltist a lot, about a year of use. Kinda' heavy and big to palm, but built like a tank, casts great, and 3 feet of line per crank without that much resistence, even with big blades etc. You have to engage it manually but got used to that easy enough, level wind and other features a...

On small waters with tight contours and lots of boat traffic, making planers mostly out of the question, I do like the 9.5' outer rods improving the spread some to cover more water with the 7' inside to avoid tangles. The long downrigger rods have such a bend with a fish on that netting them hasn't ...

I use an Ugly Stick catfish and Tiger on the inside two, both 7' rods. Then two 9.5' downrigger rods on the outside, with the Down-Easters set right the 4 troll very well for two people with minimal problems out of a small boat. The Kings helped me with this set up and it has served me well when the...

Please forgive this ignorant and selfish question but for those who have caught plenty of both, would you say they are essentially the same in habits, difficulty to catch, etc.? I've had very little experience with the GLS and was hoping that they weren't even tougher than the Northern Strain, but e...
