They are also doing this study in canada right? Much cooler temps in canadian waters can also have a huge effect on this i bet as well. But still that is sweet to know, ive followed this a bit but havent looked at it recently

yea ive seen a few pics from when i was younger of some pretty big pike at an old tackle store. Around a 15-20 lb pike through the ice, but figured the pike have to have something to do with the bass fishing becoming slow over the last 5+ years, that and the amount of pressure that lake gets

heh lol, ive fished miner lake for over 20 years and have never caught a pike out of there. I haven't even seen one come to think of it. I have talked to some people saying they have caught some, but i imagine if there are a lot in numbers there that they are in deep water. I always bass fish there,...

depends on the size, reeds lake has a lot of sub 30 inch pike and its a heavily fished lake.

if a river stays around 68 then there shouldn't be a problem, high temperatures are the concern here. 68-75 are the temps of most canadian shield lakes throughout summer too.

yea its like ive heard before, no company makes reels that are meant only for muskie fishing. Things can always go wrong.

Also, those are some sweet markings on that muskie will.

i have abu records and they work pretty flawlessly for me so far, most of these posts are hard to get anywhere cause everyone has their own preferences when it comes to reels etc..

once in the net, i look at what it does if it rolls i cut the line to un wrap the fish, this also depends on the lure if its a floating lure or not or if it sinks. Then ill just unhook the hooks that come loose with ease otherwise i cut em. Then we take the fish out for a pic and put it into my crad...

yea, i understand i tried getting some facts across etc.. but when someone has that mentality its pretty tough to change. Especially when u get those guys every now and then that thinks they need to keep everything. I had a few friends like that in college that thought everytime we caught something ...

cyber, most of these people have posted pics with under sized pics of muskies saying how they ate them, also mentioning how they kept them out of season and ate them just to eat them.. cause the topic was about cooking musky.. and obviously these people are too ignorant to follow rules and regulatio...
