I fish it at least 10-12 times a year, more than that some years. However it is my worst fish/hour lake I fish. Seems to get quite a bit of out of state pressure too.swanezy wrote: no one from MMA actually really fishes the lake more than once or twice a year if that anymore.

New (to me) boat. The 1436 jon just wasn't cutting it. I fished out of a 1236 Jon for years including my first 2 years of musky fishing so I know how big of a pain that can be. Best purchase, Red October Twisted Tubes. I had always been anti-tube (for no reason, I had never even tried them) but now...

They had a show on Murray where they were ice fishing for muskies.. but at least they didn't mention the lake. Although im sure enough people found out about it. Prob why people were hearing so much about them getting killed this past winter there I forgot about that one, I saw that as well. It was...

Just watched michigan out of doors show and they were taggin sturgeon in St. Clair. The DNR guys said it was extremely rare to get a 70 incher in that water. Truly memorable fish I saw that also. I couldn't help but wish they would do a segment like that on the musky stocking, maybe help educate a ...

Like most everyone else I have no use until sept. or later also. My buddies and I have a hell of a time trying to keep any minnows alive during the summer. We have a 120 gallon horse trough with more than enough aerators but once it gets hot just about anything we put in there dies quickly after. Th...

I know in Kalamazoo it is probably easier to buy plutonium than suckers. I have spoke to every bait shop in the area, told all them I would prepay if needed, and pay well if they could get them, and still no luck. I've been trying everything. I know where I can catch them, but thats not legal, so th...

I havent heard of any large fish being taken. Talking with the bait shops though a fair number of 37"-41" Pike were taken. Maybe Smada could help me here with what he has heard. I will be out opening weekend morning early, then little league opener, then back for the whole week off for fishing and ...
