Steve gives some good advice. I couldn't agree with him more on the importance of getting quality release tools and being prepared to handle the fish. Not just for the fish but for your own safety. As far as baits I would keep it simple to start. Get yourself a couple solid baits and use them until ...

I'm gonna try to take it easy and not burn myself out or spend too much money fishing the first couple weeks of the season in hopes for a good late may and june. My plan is to do the same. I usually take the Monday after opening weekend off work and then the first couple Fridays. I just cancelled a...

I had a great time. I finally made it to my first banquet and will be sure to try to not miss another one. The food was real good and I won a few silent auction items I really wanted. Thanks to everyone who made it possible!

Sweet looking baits Mike! Just out of curiosity, will you have any of the Rock-It Shad's at the banquet?

That's an awesome story Scott, sure sounds like fun! I have an uncle that just recently retired and bought a big center console boat and moved down there. I need to try to make it down there to fish with him.

I have two Okuma's, a 9'3" and a 8'6" XH. They have both been good rods although I like the 8'6" better. I agree with Jim my only complaint would be the 9'3 is a little heavy.

Nothing bad. I talked to Luke Ferney at Bud's not long ago and he said he said you guys fished together quite a bit last fall.

Nice to see you back. I know we've never met but being from Schoolcraft I've heard a lot about you. Maybe our paths will cross one day on the water soon.

I have also gotten stuff from mikes, however after a year and a half waiting for a seal for a shimano stradic, I finally called to get a refund... good resource but not great correspondence... I ordered a replacement "clicker assembly" for one of my Garcias from Mikes last year. After a couple week...

Glad to see I wasn't the only one a little confused by question number 7. I knew what they meant by it but it was a little misleading. I filled out my survey and sent the links to every fishing buddy I have that has ever fished muskies asking for help.
