HAHAHAHA... you guys are funny. There isn't a lure that won't work at night surface, cranks, jerks, rubber, bucktails, jigs, etc. it all works. That said, a surface strike at night is about as cool as it gets! As far as speed goes, sometimes more is better and sometimes less is more. Tell that to t...

Thorn is a pretty tough lake. There are some pretty obvious spots where you'd expect to find fish but because it's kinda low density you might as well just fish the whole thing.

Re: 8 foot musky rod

[quote="The best bang for the buck rod bar none, is a St. Croix PM80MHF. I personaly would not buy an Abu reel. I like my 8' MH Guide Series Pro Guide. I use it for everything except jerkbaits and WTD because I like a shorter rod because I'm short. I don't have too much trouble casting larger baits like pounders. $99 but if you can get a XH for the same why wouldn't you?

I'll have to let you know if I lose any fish, haven't caught any this year. I really don't think it should be too much of a problem though, muskies pull hard and usually so you we during the fight.

This is why I spent the time to grind down all the barbs on all my hooks with a Dremel tool. This way unhooking should go very swiftly and the fish will be back in the water.

I'll be out tomorrow from 11-3. If anyone's gonna be out too I'm in a 14' gray Sea Nymph.

I'll be there the Monday after the opener(4/27). I fish primarily natural color baits because I like to match the hatch. I'll probably fish the top of the horseshoe and the west arm mostly but I'll hit the whole lake.

I tried the flush and for whatever reason my computer wouldn't do it. The good news is that today I can access the site from my home computer. Best I can do for now I guess.

You're speaking Chinese to me. I'm not much of a computer whiz so if you have step by step instructions that'd be great.
