Thanks to everyone that was able to go to the meeting and worked to make this happen.

Out of curiosity what were the oppositions reason to being against the proposal? Was it just the same "muskies will eat all the gamefish" rhetoric or were there other concerns?

So there are some Tahq experts on here that may give you some more info but here is my [smilie=2c.gif]. The tahq is one of the better numbers waters in the state and a good place for a beginner to go try and catch a first fish. Most of the fish are small, at least 80% of the fish are gonna be under ...

Im not sure there is a set temperature you should look for, when the fish are done they are done. Muskies typically spawn when the water is low 50s but they dont all spawn at once. Most the fish will be spawning in april-early may but up there on a cold spring year there can easily still be some mus...

If this cold weather continues I'm gonna try to take it easy and not burn myself out or spend too much money fishing the first couple weeks of the season in hopes for a good late may and june. As for where to fish? Its making me c...

Ideally we would have enough fish to stock many of the drowned river mouth lakes and river systems where they have potential for Natural Reproduction and where wild muskies historically existed. I would love to see Manistee Lake, Pentwater lake, Muskegon lake, White lake, etc stocked if we had that ...

haha whoops my bad, for some reason I had a major reading comprehension fail and read "shimano curado" which do in fact have the same engaging problem when people put oversized power handles on them for muskie fishing. I have no idea why your reel would be doing that. Yeah one of the difference betw...

Its mainly only a problem if you have a power handle on them. Definately annoying but they weren't really designed for heavy lures.
