Re: Muskegon and Mona Lakes
I'm a little jealous of you SW MI guys that will get to fish these up and coming waters. Its only going to get better from here, with great size and numbers potential for many years to come. I keep holding out hope that the DNR will give a little stocking love to the Northern "restoration" waters li...

Love it Duke. Those are the moments we live for, even when they don't end as we would have hoped for. Reading this makes me want to get back out there immediately...

Re: Reels for big blades
I have the Shimano Tranx 401 HG and it is by far the best reel for blades I've ever used and literally everything else I've thrown with it. I've had it for 3 seasons now and my only knock against it is the wormgear is just now starting to go on it, which I believe was caused by fishing in icy condit...

Re: Top producer
Mine are more seasonal based but the Talonz Little Claw twitch has been my best producer in the spring. Recently, Bandit Bucktails from Joel Vandekopple have been killing it for me in the summer. And magnum double dawgs are probably my favorite in the fall. But if you were to make me choose just one...

Re: Anglers play a major role in Michigan muskie program
Will any of the survey data be available to the public? I would be curious to see how the amount of angler effort stacks up comparatively around the state.

Re: 2016 Goals/Plans
3 goals for me this year. Goal #1 is to catch my new PB (which in my case would be my 1st 50+ incher since my current PB is that mystical 49.75" muskie) and for it to not come from LSC. Goal #2 is to catch a fish on 1-3 new bodies of water and I have the 3 bodies of water I would prefer already in m...

I second that. The seasoning on that bread is amazing.Duke wrote:And whoever was responsible for the bread being on the buffet table this time, where you could go back again and again and eat as much as you want, I'd like to personally congratulate them especially on a job well done!!!

Re: Banquet Thank-You
Great time once again. Thanks to all involved in putting this thing on. Hopefully we made a good amount of money to put towards all of the great things MMA supports. Also, the speaker was one of my favorites in all the banquets I've been to. A lot of real interesting data. I wish he could have talke...

Just curious. Is there a difference in preferred spawning habitat between the GLS fish and the northern UP/Wisconsin strain fish? I have heard that the fish in those western UP lakes have shown some natural reproduction with the northern strain fish previously stocked in there. Now that GLS fish are...
