Thanks to everyone for all they did for the banquet. It was the first banquet I was able to bring my dad and son to. We had a great time and it was good to see so many familiar faces. [smilie=applause.gif]

New pike and muskie regs article in the Kalamazoo Gazette

There is a nice article in Section I page 4 or the Kalamazoo Gazette today by Howard Meyerson about the new pike and muskie regulations beginning in 2013. The article wasn't very large. The article focused on the new regulations and quoted Joe Bednar and Will Schultz. It is very nice to see a write-...

I also asked how the baby muskies are doing and I was told there are about 400,000 at about 2 to 3 inches long and are eating the tiny pellets. Obviously all of them won't make it to be planted but they are doing well.

Wolf Lake Fish Hatchery-Heat kills!

I was at the Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery in Mattawan with my kids on Saturday and the show pond only had a few fish in it, a few muskies, some sturgeon and a couple trout. The DNR employee working inside said they lost about 2,000 trout and salmon due to the high heat and the weeds dying and using...

New/renewed member

Hey everyone, I am once again a member of the Michigan Muskie Alliance as of today, after a few years of personal issues. I look forward to fishing with some old friends and meeting some new people at the events.

Munuscong Bay

Has anyone been to Munuscong Bay for Muskies? If so, any help or tips would be appreciated as I will be fishing there from October 12th thru the 15th. Also I will be doing some multi-species fishing and going after smallmouth and walleye as well so any info would be greatly appreciated. Or PM me if ...

Swim Whiz

Does anyone use the Swim Whiz? I stopped in at the new manufacturer's between Mattawan and Paw Paw a couple weeks ago and the guy who runs it was a really nice guy and gave me a couple lures that he rejected for paint defect. I bought a couple with no defects for myself also. If you want any more in...

The water on Webster wasn't bad on Saturday but was stained especially in the backwaters, it had come down quite a bit. We made it through the tunnel fine in my 16.5' Tracker Deep-V. The fishing was tough with only 1 follow.

I am with Jim, Ovid has no muskies, lol! Thanks to Scott and Don, the food was great and the lure trade/raffle was fun. Thanks Joe for taking me along, I guess the muskie gods weren't on our side Saturday. What is up with all the stinkin wind this year???
