Ahhh! I wish I could have seen this earlier.. This is welcome news and I hope it takes off as an annual event. Great idea!

I'm excited by the idea of the Portage/Torch system and connected waters up'a dere in Houghton/Keewenaw. It's big and warm enough for a viable and tremendous muskie fishery like Michigan deserves!

IF we had

200,000 vigorously healthy, 12" natural muskie yearlings (no more-no less) to plant into Michigan's waters -

Where COULD/SHOULD/WOULD they go?

I'm curious to know what you're all thinking out there... Now, Please limit yourself to THREE systems per person, Johnny Llungenseed!

Any Alliance membership planning to attend the Milwaukee Muskie Expo or the Saturday Nite Swap & Social at the Midway Best Western Hotel in Brookfield this weekend? Barring a lake effect white-out, I'll be at the Sat. Nite - Operation Muskie Tackle Swap & Social (wearing a chartruse cap) because it'...

The "CC" on the "MMA"?

Do I mean the OC on the "WB"?? Hell NO! But if there ever is a series known as the "CC" I gotta be a main character! As you may or may not know, Michigan does NOT stock the CC with muskies. I said "Grad School" for all the aforementioned reasons on this thread and then some. WI fishing pressure as w...

Cisco Chain

In the musky encounter learning curve the "CC" is "Grad School". A month after your scheduled visit is typically when I like to get up there, (when the arrows are flyin' - archery deer opener). The more miserable the winds and weather, the better. Oh, and remember to FORGET your net and/or cradle!! ...
