Thanks for sharing that Tom. Stories like that make it all worth the effort!! Amen Brother! Nice ! I think Many of those were placed through group effort with our DNR friends up there. I believe that is one of the original signs, so I don't know who to give credit to.., but I do know John E. Sox an...

D-Mac's back (Hockey)
*Disclaimer*This post has nothing to due with muskies. So its official, the improbable comeback of Darren McCarty has brought him back with the Wings. I doubt he will be able to provide much more than some grit, tickets sales and locker room presence, but still it will be nice to see him in the wing...

Cyberlunge and I have been using a Frabill Kwik-Kradle for the last 7 years. It has great lateral support for the fish and is deep enough to allow you to keep the fish submerged while cutting/removing hooks. It doesn't however, even being a net/cradle hybrid, give you the oppotunity to quickly swoop...

If I can give you a little advice "Do Not Go Cheap". As you can probably imagine musky fishing puts A LOT of stress on your equipment so just make sure you use quality equipment. If I were going to buy one rod and reel to cast various lures-cranks, spinners, bucktails... I'd go with a St. Croix Prem...

underwater musky vids
A few you tube videos of muskies following/striking trolled lures via you tube . Most impressive thing to me is how fast these fish close on the lures. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VC-3TGKgBS4&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHYDMU6eW1Q&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

As Jason said July is not the best time to fish Long, way to many pleasure craft, but awesome scenery [smilie=brows.gif] . Get out and map the lake during the first day, then focus on fishing last light into the night, well into the night. The population of muskie in Long is questionable at best, bu...

why do suckers suck? Oh let me count the ways.....oh alright maybe I should have typed "suckers are dicks” Granted my experience with them may be somewhat lacking, because of personal preference, but trust me they are all dicks. First, if you are drifting even controlled drifting they use their abi...

you can't transport those fish if they are alive. So you would need to catch the sucker and immediately start fishing with it. If you're going to trasnport it you would need to kill it. ...so if you caught the sucker and immediately quick-strike rigged it and then decided to move , would you have t...
